Google Calendar will not connect

Work through verification warnings, account choices, permissions, and missing event sync.

In this guide

If Google says the app is not verified#

That screen is controlled by Google and means the app’s requested permissions have not completed Google’s verification requirements. It does not mean the Calendar connection was saved. Your organization may also block an app through its Workspace policy.

Check the saved connection#

  1. Return to Meeting assistant → Recording preferences.
  2. Check whether the connected Calendar email is actually shown.
  3. If reconnecting, choose the Google account whose primary calendar you intend to use and review the requested read-only access.
  4. Select Sync calendar and inspect any red connection or event error.
  5. Confirm the event is in that primary calendar, has a supported link, and is hosted or accepted by the connected account.

Connected but not joining?#

Auto-record starts off. Save an appropriate rule, confirm recording permission, and check the individual meeting choice. Private, all-day, cancelled, declined, and unaccepted events are skipped. Events too close to their start may need one-time capture.
